Ragnarok Odyssey dropped the MMO structure entirely: a hunting-action game where you fight giant monsters from RO lore as a mercenary in a post-Ragnarok world. Released February 2012 in Japan (then NA October 2012, EU February 2013) with the expanded ACE version on PS3, it was the franchise's boldest genre departure — and a cult favorite among action-RPG fans.
